El “Lunes de Pentecostés” es día siguiente al Domingo de Pentecostés.
El Lunes de Pentecostés es un día de fiesta en muchos países como Alemania, Austria, Bélgica, Dinamarca, Francia, Hungría, Islandia, Liechtenstein, Noruega, los Países Bajos, Suiza o Ucrania. También es festivo en algunas comunidades autónomas de España.
Una festividad universal de la iglesia, mediante la cual se conmemora el descendimiento del Espíritu Santo sobre los Apóstoles, a los cincuenta días después de la Resurrección de Cristo, en el festival judío llamado "festejo de las semanas" o Pentecostés. En algunos lugares es llamado el "domingo de blanco" ("whitesunday") debido a los ropajes blancos que son portados por aquellos que son bautizados durante la vigilia. Pentecostés , es la denominación griega por "quincuagésimo", 50 díasdespués de la Pascua.
